    Description

For auction is 1941 Indian “Civilian” 741 Military Scout Motorcycle. It has a clear and open  Arkansas title in the previous owners name but it’s titled as a 1934 Scout. The motor and frame numbers do not match. Due to the year of this motorcycle, eBay didn’t recognize either vin numbers so I had to use all 9. The motor number “S9676W” is used as the vin number. 74128952 is the frame number.
It has oil seepage on the engine and oil pump. There is an oil leak at the primary/transmission which could be the gasket between the two. It’s a slow leak, about a couple of months to leak out completely.
The tires are aged but maintain air fine. The side stand is fabricated. Clutch & transmission are in good working condition. The battery is weak but the generator charges good.
It hasn’t been washed or given a through cleaning in 47 years only ridden occasionally. It does have a horn but it’s not hooked up so I’m not sure if it works.
The main gas tank is dry and was coated in 2006. The reserve tank has some rust and needs to be coated. All the lights work. I do not have a key for the ignition.
This motorcycle was last ridden in 2019 in Hope, Arkansas at the Hope watermelon festival. If the Indian starting procedure is used, it normally will start on the 4th or 5th kick no matter how long it has been sitting. I use Valve-o-line VR1 Racing oil SAE 50 in the engine & primary case.
This motorcycle is sold “ As is & where is” with no guarantees. Buyer is responsible for all shipping but I will assist the buyers shipper on my end.
I request payment in full within 7 days of auction ending. Payment can be made with a cashiers check, cash, money order or bank transfer. ABSOLUTELY NO PAYPAL or any other forms of payment will be accepted. No personal check.
The title and motorcycle will remain with seller until full payment has been received.
It’s not very often a running and rideable 80 year old motorcycle comes available so here’s a chance to own a piece of history.
Any and all inquiries should be made to the owner/seller Fred Dison @ 501-450-8378. Do not message me I am only listing it for him.
