    Description

    Ghana Envelope mailed July 31, 1958 from Afransi, Ghana to The Lionel Corporation, 15 East 26th Street, New York, 10. NY
    This was the showroom offices of the Lionel Train Company at that time. Neat piece of postal history.
    Envelope measures 6" x 3.75". Opened on top. No damage to stamps. This was not long after Ghana achieved independence from Great Britain. The stamps celebrate the Inauguration of Ghana Airways.

    An interesting cover which has two 1 1/2d British
    Gold Coast stamps overprinted with Ghana Independence 6th March 1937. It was addressed to the Lionel Corporation in NY. This was the main showroom with offices of the toy train company in New York at that time.
    Good condition, shows signs of wear and storage. Envelope was opened from the top. No enclosures with envelope.
    Envelope's back flap is still sealed. See scans.
