This is a custom built radio with knobs and shafts so it fits in your stock dash without cutting.
We now offer radio repair panels for Porsche 356 (56-65) and replacement radio plates for early 911/912 (1969-73)
This radio is specifically designed and modified for the Porsche 356/912/911, not just a generic radio.
Includes black knobs to match the knobs on the dash. Brand new in the box with two year warranty

This radio may also be used for other vintage cars. Dimensions are 5 1/8 inches between shafts (adjustable). Nosepiece (the part of the radio that sticks through the dash) is 3 5/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall. A chrome backing plate is included to cover any small gaps between the radio and the dash opening (3 7/8 X 2 inches).
Body is 4.5 deep and 8 inches wide.

This is designed for a 12 volt system. You must purchase a 6 volt power booster ( available through us) if you have a 6 volt 356.
If your car did not come with noise suppression, a filter may be needed ( through us).
A standard replacement car radio with a CD player needs to have the metal dash cut, don't do it!
Enjoy great AM and FM reception or MP3/ipod tunes in your 356.
You could also do something trick with the AUX outputs and have ipod/mp3 player cable below the dash or in your glove box or use the inputs for Sirius/XM programming.
