This is a vintage BOXED Marx Toys Battleground Play Set. It appears that most, if not all of the original vehicles and accessories are present, with a few extras. I am not certain if anything is missing, this is a vintage toy and is in “AS IS” condition due to my uncertainty.
Please inspect all images prior to bidding as images aid condition and description of item and are part of the listing.
This lot includes the original instructions dated 1973, however the soldiers are dated 1963. These items appear to have been painted, and small flags and embellishments have been added to vehicles. The armies are American and German(please inspect). There is also a few unpainted extras that may not have been Marx, they are not standing with either army in the photos. There are 36 American soldiers in a variety of positions: with weapons, seated, laying down with weapons, crouching, running, injured, etc. There are 32 German soldiers in a variety of positions also.
There is a large array of accessories: battle equipment, tables, trunks, stretcher, missiles, weapons, spikes, grenades, land mines, binoculars, gas tanks, etc.
There is a lot of “landscape” items as well. Trees, curved barbed wire, barbed wire fencing, logs, rock hills, buildings, USA and French flags etc.
There is also a lot of vehicles. Three tanks (one looks incomplete?), large boat, small boat, motorcycle, truck with trailer, three gun/missile trailers.
This is a cool BOXED vintage Marx Battleground Play Set that somebody had lovingly taken care of. Thanks for looking!
