Meccano-Like Tekno Electric Power Station Toy Motor Made In Denmark VTG Rare

Tekno den elektriske Kraftstation is a rare vintage building toy electric power station that was made in Denmark.  It is similar to Hornby Meccano and Gilbert Erector.
Translated from Danish into English, the box label reads:
The Electric Power Station
The Steam Engine's Successor
Tekno Danish Toy Industry, Copenhagen
Patent Note Design Protected
Based on public information (wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekno_(toy_manufacturer)), this set would have been made sometime between World War II and 1972.  In 1974, the Tekno toy brand was sold and moved from Denmark to the Netherlands.  I contacted the current company to ask about this set but they have no information in their archives.
Parts:
the motor does NOT work
the other parts are in very good condition
minimal play wear
some paint loss on the motor exterior
one leg on the motor has been re-attached with super glue
if you can get the motor repaired, the set would need connection wires, battery case and batteries, these are not included
Manual:
none, there wasn't one in the box when we got it
Box:
very poor condition, falling apart, major damage on the lid
a plain cardboard box was constructed around it to hold it together
Box measures about 16-1/2“ x 7“ x 2-1/2" and weighs about 2 pounds
(42 x 17.5 x 6 cm and 920 grams)
