    Vintage Schuco Tippy 990 Scottie Terrier Dog Wind Up Toy NO KEY. This is a very early example of this toy, before the trademark was finalized. You can tell by the mark on the bottom. Later examples have the Schuco Trademark on the bottom. This little dog toy has been well loved. He has scars and a little missing felt on his face, but in good collectors condition. He was made in Germany by Schuco after WW2 in Occupied Germany. (US ZONE) I was able to gently wind him with a pair of hemostats, and to my surprise, he works just fine. He would be a good example to add to your wind up tin toy collection. German examples of tin wind up toys are more difficult to find. I easily found Schuco Keys that are available on eBay for varying prices. A key would add more value to this little guy. I am a retired antique dealer and collector who is downsizing and selling my personal collections. This was in my tin toy collection. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
