Vintage Scuba - Swimaster (VOIT) SPG with Dual Units & Depth Gauge - ODD!!
This nice, old Submersible Pressure Gauge has several unusual features.
The pressure gauge needle is double ended. One ends points to the tank pressure shown in PSI (pounds/square inch). The other end points to the tank pressure in Kg/Cm2 (kilograms /square centimeter).
That feature alone in pretty neat but this gauge also has a CAPILLARY DEPTH GAUGE around the face.,
If you're not aware, a capillary depth gauge is the most accurate possible. More accurate than a digital depth gauge - in shallow water. In deep water it becomes impossible to read.
It wasn't uncommon to see this set-up - a capillary depth gauge around the face of an SPG.
This gauge is heavy - solid chrome-plated brass.
It's in nice condition, no major defects at all.
The capillary depth gauge tube needs cleaning but that is a standard maintenance step.
It's a nice, old and unusual gauge for your vintage gear set.
